How do you separate Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press from Social Media? Are they one and the same? Where do we draw the line? However, with rights come responsibilities. How can we balance our First Amendment freedoms with today's seemingly limitless technology? What about privacy? I think social media is great its a way to be with your friends even if your not physicly with them. Its also a share ideas with millions around the world. Also its a way to share your opinion. Even if I don't have a social media account its a swell idea!

This is an interesting topic. Social Media plays a large roll in our society today. Nowadays social media is spreads faster than ever. Social Media is a useful yet destructive tool.Social media can be used as a recreational tool; however, social media can also cause problems. Cyber bullying is one of the main problems with social networking today. Kids and teens tend to be more aggressive behind a screen where they can be anonymous, which can lead to much bigger problems. Another problem with social media is that no matter how secretive you think you can post something, someone is always watching. Whether it be your parents, future bosses, future coaches etc. Although behind all these problems we face with social media we are blinded by how much of a resource it actually is. As said before, social media is the fastest non- physical communication in the world. You can send and receive news faster than ever before. However, posting a false statement about a friend or enemy is where you can cross the line. However, in the definition of freedom of the press it is a right by the first amendment to post opinions without censorship of the government. Social responsibility is an ethical theory that an entity whether it is a government, corporation, organization or individual has a responsibility to society. These responsibilities can be negative and positive. An example of negative would be spreading rumors on social media. An example of positive would be giving someone a compliment or sharing something insightful or inspiring. As you can tell i procrastinated on AP Human Geography homework and i should probably get back to work. Bye!

I think that it would be great If school was aloud to be on social media because what if on your phone you have no games all u have is social media stuff, well if we were aloud to go on social media then you can at least be on your phone!! And my other reason is that every body like when they go on social media well not everyone but a lot does! But I would have to agree on Mrs Isaacs about posting things. If I was a teacher I would let my students get on social media and post things, BUT they can't post other people u could post your self and it can't be inappropriate!! 4/8/2015 06:30:58 pm
