We now turn from North and South America and the Land and People Before Columbus to Europe and enter the Age of Exploration. As we travel back in time to this exciting era in history, we will also face a dark side. There was a clash of cultures and ideas between the Native Americans and the explorers whom they encountered. One group was hungry for gold, God, and glory. The other was a peaceful people who had deep love for the environment and peace.
